The iPhone stopped charging.. 6 steps to try first

IPhone users are sometimes exposed to the problem of stopping their charging process, as their

phones are unable to charge, or do not respond to charging at all, which panics many to start thinking about making more complex decisions.

According to the Tom's Guide website, there are a number of steps and tips that must be followed first before buying a new charger or sending your iPhone when charging stops to repair it or even buy a new phone, to ensure that the problem is simple and can be solved, and we review a number of them below :

 Check your cable

You should first carefully inspect the cable for any signs of damage, as it is very common for the charging cable to be damaged when pulled too hard from your iPhone, while you can try to fix this with electrical tape, but in fact it is better to get rid of it and buy a new one, or borrow one from someone else.

Try a different charger or power socket

Disconnect your charger from the wall, replace it with another one if you have another or try a different power socket in the wall, as there may be a problem with the power socket itself and not the charger, and if the problem remains unresolved, check both sockets by connecting another device, and if the phone is working, you can exclude that the wall power socket is problematic, in this case, you can try another charger.

 Check the charging port

Unwanted substances often accumulate inside the charging port of your iPhone, which will prevent the charging cable from connecting properly, so the solution is to clean the charging port.for an in-depth guide, you should check how to clean the iPhone charging port carefully and keep it without breaking.

This includes turning off your iPhone and using compressed air , and once the charging port is clean, insert the cable and plug it into a power socket on the wall.

There may be an internal defect

There may be an internal defect in your iPhone, in which case hold your iPhone, and if you feel very hot or very cold, it should be handled carefully until it reaches the normal temperature, in which case all applications should be stopped, iOS updated, turned off for a short time, or converted to low power.

 Try a " wireless charger”

And there may be a problem with the connection of the port inside your iPhone by trying a wireless charger, you can either exclude this or identify it as a problem, and if you do not have a wireless charger, find out the best wireless chargers for iPhones.
